Green Party T.D. for Carlow/Kilkenny, Mary White, has welcomed the announcement of funding for 19 housing units in Kilkenny.

The Green Party Deputy Leader said:
“The announcement of funding for new housing units in Ferrybank and in the City, which will be provided by Focus and SOS voluntary housing bodies in conjunction with the Council is good news for Kilkenny. These units will help our elderly, those with disabilities and the homeless. I commend the housing bodies for their work, and for the many services they provide the people in our communities. I wish all involved well with these new projects.”

The funding is part of a €157 million housing allocation from the Department of the Environment.
The projects in Kilkenny are:
4 Housing Units in Belmont, Ferrybank, run by Focus
15 Housing Units on the Nuncie Rd, Kilkenny, run by SOS Kilkenny Ltd
